John Franklin has been with National Grid 21 years, where he currently holds the position of Vice President of Network Management. He has a strong passion for integrating innovative solutions and data-driven insights focused on efficiency and new opportunities. 

John's career in the utility sector began in distribution and transmission control room operations, where he held both individual contributor and management roles. He has established himself as a thought leader in the industry, successfully operationalizing new technologies supporting smarter electric network management.  

Outside of his professional commitments, John enjoys spending quality time with his two children. He loves adventuring with them, boating and fishing during the summer months, and hitting the slopes for skiing in the winter.
