Robin Lanier

Robin Lanier serves as the Director of Grid Strategy and Solutions at Georgia Power Company, within the Grid Transformation organization. Robin’s leadership is centered on the development and deployment of a comprehensive suite of solutions and capabilities, including grid-enhancing technologies (GETs), distributed energy resources (DERs), Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS), and other advancements that enhance transmission and distribution planning and operations. 

Robin's career includes a progression of increasing responsibility within the energy and utility sector, focused on strategy development and advancing solutions across power delivery, renewable resources, and environmental affairs. Prior to her current role, Robin led the New Ventures team at Southern Company, where she managed Southern Company’s investment in Energy Impact Partners and other venture capital engagements as well as leading efforts to advance first-of-a-kind solutions across Southern Company.
