Walter Fromm
Vice President, Gas Asset Management and Engineering, National Grid
Walter Fromm joined National Grid in November 1999 and currently serves as Vice President of Gas Asset Management & Engineering in Massachusetts. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring that the gas distribution, transmission, LNG, and pressure regulation assets are fit-for-service and can operate safely, reliably and in compliance with state and federal regulations. He leads a Team whose accountabilities include gas systems strategic planning, gas asset management, design & engineering, engineering support, cost estimating, permitting, engineering controls & compliance as well as Future of Heat Engineering.
Walter holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and is a licensed professional engineer. He is a highly effective and proven leader with more than 30 years of utility, engineering, design, construction and project management experience. Prior to joining National Grid, Walter worked as a civil engineering consultant on large-scale water, sewer, drain and environmental permitting projects.
