David Aronoff
Chairman and Managing Partner, MCJ
David Aronoff is Chairman and Managing Partner at MCJ, an early-stage climate technology venture capital firm backing extraordinary startup founders who are rewriting industries to be cleaner, more profitable, and more resilient.
With three decades of venture capital experience, David has spent the bulk of his career investing in high-growth technology startups. He previously served as General Partner at Flybridge, beginning in 2005, where his investment focus included cloud infrastructure, semiconductors and cybersecurity. Prior to Flybridge, David spent nearly a decade as a General Partner at Greylock.
Earlier in his career, he held senior technology and management roles at Chipcom and Bell Laboratories, developing secure network equipment and software.
A Vermont native, David holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Vermont, an MS in Computer Engineering from USC, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of Draper Laboratory, iDirect Government, BitSight and Aliro, and is a Trustee Emeritus for The University of Vermont.
